It was a close one in the final of the three-game playoff series between Homer City and Bushy Run, but Bushy Run came out on top with a 2-1 extra-inning win.
Homer City scored first in the 4th inning, but Bushy Run posted single runs in the 6th inning and then walked off with the win in the bottom of the 8th inning. Homer City’s Benjamin Cowburn had two hits on the night while Dom Shimko drove in the team’s only run. With the win, Bushy Run advances to the championship game Wednesday against Latrobe. Homer City will host Burrell tomorrow at 6:00 PM to determine their seed in the upcoming regional tourney.
