An Aultman man will have a preliminary hearing on July 21st for shooting at state troopers during a standoff in Aultman on Wednesday.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, state police were contacted by county crisis responders and family members who believed 73-year-old Harry B. Lloyd was trying to hurt himself. Troopers established a perimeter at 6:21 PM. One trooper found Lloyd behind a bedroom door in the basement and started to talk, but Lloyd reportedly fired a shot through the closed door near the trooper. He surrendered early Thursday morning after nearly eight hours and was taken into custody by members of the State Police SERT team at 3:10 AM. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Lloyd faces 12 felony counts and four misdemeanor counts, including eight felony counts of aggravated assault, two felony counts each of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and assault of a law enforcement officer along with two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and single misdemeanor counts of possession of a weapon and possession of an instrument of crime.
