Altoona took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a run-scoring single by Titus Dumitru, but Peyton Stumbo gave up three solo home runs and Richmond came away with a 5-3 win last night. Dumitru and Derek Berg each had two hits but all eight of the Curve’s hits were singles and they went 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position and stranded ten runners.
The Curve send Matt Ager to the mound tonight for Game Four of the series.
