Restaurants from the area offered sweet treats, refreshing drinks and main course samples to hungry patrons in the hope of winning the fan’s vote. Sam Kenly with Downtown Indiana called this event one of the biggest fundraisers for the organization.
This year, along with the public choice and the celebrity judges, three kid judges were able to choose their favorite dishes as well. The kids’ choices were:
- Fresh Blendz’s Blue Wave Smoothie for best drink
- Snickerdoodle cookies from Honey Badger for best sweet treat
- Crunchy Crab Sushi from Pan Asia as all-around cuisine
The public vote went to:
- Fresh Blendz for best drink
- Colton’s Cookies for favorite sweet treat
- Benjamin’s for all-around cuisine
The Judge’s Choice award was chosen by three “celebrity” judges who based their choice on execution, appearance, and taste. The judges selected Casa Jalisco as the best overall cuisine.
