Nancy Kathryn (Irvin) Guerrieri, 74, of Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 6, 2026, at home with her husband. Born October 5, 1951, in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late David F. Irvin and Sally (Parsons) Irvin. She was the wife of A. Chris Guerrieri, whom she married on September 4, 1976. The two met as teenagers and since that time they were inseparable.
Nancy graduated from Indiana High School where as a cheerleader she made lifelong friends. She attended classes at IUP as well as Maryland Medical Secretarial School where she completed her degree. Nancy’s career position was with the PA Department of Revenue where she held a distinguished role for more than 25 years and retired as a Revenue Investigator.
Nancy spent 10 years on the Board of Directors at the Indiana Free Library. She never missed completing the NY Times crossword puzzle and was an avid reader. She and Chris loved to travel and had fond memories of their many vacations with family and trips together to Canada. Nancy and Chris were Rolling Stones groupies, traveling throughout the country to see them perform more than 20 times. Nancy loved being a part of her neighborhood ladies’ group the “Stepford Wives”. Also, caring for the birds, especially the hummingbirds, and flowers around her home brought her great joy. Nancy treasured her family and the times she spent with her two daughters and grandchildren, especially the conversations and memories they shared.
We will never forget her delightful and exuberant personality, coupled with her great wit. It made Nancy unforgettable. It was truly a privilege to know her, laugh with her and love her.
Nancy will be forever cherished by her husband of nearly 50 years, Chris Guerrieri, and by her daughters: Amy Beth Atherton, Cherry Tree, and Emily Ruth Davis (Daniel), Kannapolis, NC, her grandchildren Kendall Pamela and Drew Chris Davis. She is also remembered with love by her sister, Dr. Susan I. Gatti (Joseph Gatti, Jr.), Indiana, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister: Mary W. Juart.
Truly, Nancy will be missed dearly by anyone who had the pleasure to know her.
All service arrangements are private; however, a celebration of Nancy’s life will be planned for a later date. Her final resting place will be at the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
