Another round of severe storms brought another round of power outages to Indiana County yesterday.
As of this hour, Penelec is reporting 479 of its customers are without power. The bulk of the outages are in North Mahoning Township, with 238 reported this morning. After that, the area that’s most affected is Smicksburg Borough with 54 and Canoe Township with 44.
REA Energy reports 97 cooperative members in Indiana County without power. Most are in Cherryhill Township, with 87 outages reported. The others are in Armstrong and Green Townships.
Power is expected to be restored by 11:00 tonight at the latest.
Lines were reported down in Center; East Wheatfield; Green along with East, West and North Mahoning townships throughout the day yesterday.
