The Pens signed restricted free agent Hendrix Lapierre to a two-year contract.
He was with the Capitals last season and recorded four goals and 12 assists in 74 games. He was traded to the team on June 25th for a 3rd round pick in the 2027 draft along with a 5th round pick in 2028. Lapierre formally became a restricted free agent on Wednesday with the Penguins retaining his rights after extending him a qualifying offer.
He is scheduled to remain an unrestricted free agent upon the expiration of his new contract.
