IUP has announced that they will continue to follow past precedent when it comes to parking during the Fourth of July holiday.
The university will not restrict access to the KCAC Wayne Avenue, Stadium South and Stadium North parking lots during Saturday’s activities, but access will be restricted in the KCAC’s VIP Parking Lot and the Loading Dock Area along with the South Campus parking lot near the softball and baseball fields. Also, University Drive on South Campus will be temporarily closed to through traffic from 12 noon to 11 PM on the 4th.
As it is a holiday, all IUP facilities will not be open or available for people to use. Lot use should be for parking only, and grilling, tents, or long-term gatherings are not allowed.
Regulations for any reserved spaces, including handicapped, visitor reserved, admissions reserved, and 15 or 30 minute loading and unloading zones, fire lanes and tow-away zones will still be strictly enforced. Vehicles found there may be ticketed or towed away at the owner’s expense.
