The River Valley School Board will consider the 2026-27 budget tonight.
The budget comes to $37,240,919, which includes a 2% tax increase, bringing the tax rate to Indiana County to 17.16 mills and 145.98 mills for Westmoreland County.
The board will also consider naming Assistant Superintendent and Director of Pupil Services Regina Geesey as the acting superintendent. Phillip Martel’s resignation was approved by the board on March 24th with his last day being June 30th. The board will hire Geesey as acting superintendent while the search continues for a permanent replacement. She will be paid an additional $1000 per month.
The meeting will be held at 7:00 tonight at the River Valley High School Auditorium at the Blairsville campus.
