Rose Marie (Faust) Mannion, 92 of Indiana, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home.
Born in West View, PA on August 28, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Marie Staub Faust. She was the widow of J. Robert Mannion, who died January 26, 2006. They were married June 29, 1957, and shared 48 years together raising their five children.
Rose was a St. Benedict’s Academy graduate, Rose was employed part-time for 29 years for Dr. John Parsons, but her true full-time devotion was lovingly caring for her family.
Rose was a faithful member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church in Indiana, Pennsylvania, where she sang in the church choir and taught religion classes at St. Bernard School for eight years. Her Catholic faith remained a guiding force throughout her life.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family and creating a warm and loving home. Rose will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, unwavering love, and selfless dedication to those she held dear. Her kind hearted spirit, faith-filled life, and the love she shared with family and friends will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Rose is remembered by her children: Kathleen Anne Slowik, North Hills; Michael P. Mannion (Bonnie), Salisbury, MD; and by Susan Mannion, Raleigh NC and fiancé, Rick Turnbull, Indiana, PA. She is also survived by the following grandchildren: Sarah Beaver (Jeremy); Nathan Stiles; Alex Slowik; Gabriella Imbasciani; Jennifer Shea (Dennis) and Laura Hugo. Her great-grandchildren are: Avery and Hudson Dernus; Jaxon and Bodie Beaver; Nick, Patrick, Ashley and Katie Shea; Jonathan Decker and Logan Hugo. Rose’s surviving siblings are: Ann Faust Beck (Phillip), Cleveland, OH and Richard Faust (Bonnie), Butler, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by her: son, James Richard Mannion; daughter, Margaret Rose “Peggie” Stiles; granddaughter, Jessica Dernus; sister, Bernice Coogan; and brother, Henry (Hank) Faust.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the staff at Beacon Ridge and 365 Hospice for their dedicated, compassionate care and support. Their kindness, comfort, and presence were a true blessing to both our mother and our family.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 23rdat 2:00 PM at St. Thomas More University Parish, visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM. Entombment will follow at the St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum.
