Pennsylvania is being ranked in the bottom half of states in terms of safety for members of the LGBTQ community.
That’s according to the 2026 LGBTQ State Safety Report Cards released by the website SafeHome.org. Each state was given a ranking based off factors such as legislation which helps or hurts the LGBTQ community and the number of hate crimes against members of the community. The report ranked Pennsylvania in 26th place with a letter grade of a B-minus.
The safest state was listed as Nevada, while the most unsafe state was listed as West Virginia.
