The Steelers have signed wide receiver Levi Wentz, a graduate of Pine-Richland High School who played his final season of college ball at Kansas. He also played in college for Old Dominion and Albany after only one season of high school ball. Wentz originally signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent. Seattle let him go last week.
The Steelers released linebacker Daylan Carnell and punter Aidan Laros.

Controversial Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby plans to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft after the Big 12 conference filed a federal lawsuit against Texas Tech and Texas attorney general Kenneth Paxton on Monday for a temporary injunction that would have forced the conference to let Sorsby play. The NCAA also filed an appeal of the injunction.
Sorsby admitted to betting at least $90,000 on professional and college sports over four years, including betting on his own team when he played at Indiana in 2022, before Curt Cignetti arrived as coach there. When Cignetti was hired, Sorsby transferred to Cincinnati.
