Two former Penguins players will play in Europe. Former Penguins forward Greg McKegg signed with HC Milano , an expansion team out of Italy in the International Central European Hockey League. McKegg spent part of the 2017-18 season with the Penguins. Appearing in 26 contests, he had two goals and two assists.
Meanwhile, former Pens Defenseman Nate Clurman signed with Rogle BK of the Swedish Hockey League. Clurman’s only career NHL game came during the 2024-25 season as a member of the Penguins. He played the 2025-26 season with Montreal’s AHL Affiliate in Laval.
