Rain caused a delay of to an hour-and-a-half for Altoona last night, and when they finally started playing ball, the Curve couldn’t find anything offensively, getting only four hits in a 4-0 loss to Chesapeake.
Ivan Brehowr’s single with two outs in the seventh was the first Curve hit of the night. Javier Rivas followed with an infield single but the threat ended there. Altoona also got singles from Titus Dumitru and Omar Alfonzo in the ninth but couldn’t cross the plate.
Left-hander Connor Oliver starts for the Curve tonight in Game Four of the series.
