Leaders with Franklin Regional School District in Murrysville are disciplining a high school senior over an anti-Semitic yearbook quote.
District leaders say one student had “271-K or not enough” printed under their photo in the yearbook for this year. This reportedly refers to a statistic quoted by Holocaust deniers who claim only 271-thousand Jews were killed under the Nazi regime in World War Two, as opposed to the historically-documented six-million.
Officials with the school system say the high school’s yearbook advisor did not know what the message meant when the layout was finalized for printing.
