An Indiana County baseball team is headed back to the PIAA finals after winning yesterday, while another saw its season end in the semi-finals.
The Indiana High baseball team beat Archbishop Wood 13-4 to move on to the quad-A state championship this Thursday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on the campus of Penn State. Coach Dan Petroff said he was proud of the team.
Thursday’s game is set for 1:30 PM. The team will be leaving town around 8:00 AM and people are being asked to wear red and line Philadelphia Street from 5th to 9th streets to send the team off.
Meanwhile, the Homer Center Baseball team finished the season with a 4-1 loss to Dock Mennonite in the 1-A semifinals. The team finished the season with a 15-11 record overall.
