Indiana Borough Police arrested an Indiana man Monday morning in connection with a domestic incident.
Police were called at 6:27 a.m. to the 1200 block of Philadelphia Street for a report of a female victim of domestic violence. When officers arrived, the victim told police that she was involved in the dispute and had fled from the scene. She was found to have a non-life-threatening cut from a knife in her leg. The victim detailed that she got into an argument with her boyfriend that turned physical when he started to choke her and verbally threaten her life.
Police returned to the residence and apprehended 33-year-old Timothy Earl Austin, who faces charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and possession of an instrument of crime. He was arraigned and is now being held in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.
