The group Concerned Residents of Western PA is calling on county residents to “show up in force” at the two June Indiana County Commissioners meetings, urging people to “fill the room” and “sign up to make public comment so (their) message cannot be ignored.”
The group, which goes by the acronym “CROW”, wants speakers to ask the commissioners to do two things: schedule a town hall about the Homer City Redevelopment power plant project and the AI data centers it hopes to bring to the county; and create a “robust data center ordinance” for Indiana County. It encourages “short, direct comments,” to have a greater impact.
The commissioners are scheduled to meet this Wednesday, June 10th and again on June 24th, both at 10:30 AM. CROW is asking attendees to gather outside the courthouse at 10:15, presumably so they can enter as a group. They’ve also included a link and suggested statements for residents to make, along with contact information for the three commissioners for telephone or emailed comments.
CROW’S APPEAL:
Hey CROW Community! We need your help now more than ever. The next two Indiana County Commissioner meetings are our moment to show up in force and make our voices heard. Our goal is simple: fill the room with concerned residents and have as many people as possible sign up to make public comment so our message cannot be ignored.
All you need to do is show up and ask for two things: a town hall about the AI data center and gas power plant project, and the creation of a robust data center ordinance to protect our community. Short, direct comments work- the real impact will come from our collective presence. The more people who ask for the same two things directly, the greater the impact. If you can attend, fantastic! Bring your friends, family, and neighbors, and meet us outside the courthouse at 10:15 AM.
Forward this email to your family and friends who may be concerned, or send them a message with this link:

CROW has asked the Indiana County Commissioners for two clear actions:
