Police in Indiana borough have charged an Indiana man with domestic assault and harassment. The charges stem from an investigation on May 30th at 10:27 PM in the 100 block of South 6th Street. Investigation revealed that 36-year-old Jeremy Scott Lentz assaulted an un-named man. Lenz was taken into custody and placed in Indiana County Jail. He will have a preliminary hearing next Wednesday in front of District Judge Robert Bell Sr.
An Avonmore man is charged with retail theft by Indiana Borough Police. Officers were sent to the 300 block of Philadelphia Street at 8:58 AM on June 3rd to investigate and identified 21-year-old Joseph Painter as the suspect. On top of the theft charge, he is also accused of possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness. The charges were filed through District Judge Tony Sottile’s Office.
DUI charges have been filed by Indiana Borough Police against an Indiana man for an incident in March. Officers said that 19-year-old Hagen Jones was pulled over by police in the 1300 block of Philadelphia Street at 1:18 AM on March 28th and was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance to the point that he was unfit to drive. Jones also reportedly had a small amount of marijuana and associated paraphernalia on his person. He was released to a sober person after his arraignment. A criminal complaint was filed through District Judge Tony Sottile’s office.
