State police in Armstrong County are conducting an investigation at the Armstrong Junior-Senior High School in Kittanning.
Troopers have not released any details on the probe. Armstrong School District Superintendent Jason Perrin said in a statement that they were aware of rumors circulating of inappropriate relationships between students and staff, but the district could not comment on confidential matters. They are fully cooperating with police in the investigation. State police have said they were not involved in removing any teachers from the premises at any time last week.
Armstrong County DA Katie Charlton said that all allegations regarding a school district are taken seriously and are thoroughly investigated, but as it is an active investigation, she could not comment further.
