The Pirates yesterday traded relief pitcher Justin Lawrence to the Twins in exchange for cash considerations.
Carmen Mlodzinski was reinstated from the restricted list yesterday and will be available tonight in Houston, if needed. He’d been deactivated after he told the team he would not be available on Sunday after his removal from the starting rotation. Mlodzinski told pirates.com’s Jason Mackey that he did not request a trade from the Pirates and never considered asking for one.
