A New Florence man was sentenced in Indiana County Court yesterday on charges of theft.
Court documents say 55-year-old Michael Young of New Florence was ordered to serve two months to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail for a count of retail theft. The charge goes back to an incident on May 31st of last year. He will also pay restitution, fines and court costs connected with the case.
As part of his sentence, Young had parole and street time revoked for two other cases. One case was for depositing, storing or disposing of chemical waste from 2022. For that case, he was ordered back to county jail for six months to a day less than two years and a two-year probation period to follow. The other case was for DUI, where parole and street time were revoked.
