The Hartford Yard Goats beat the Altoona Curve 5-4 last night.
The bullpen day for the Curve did not go well as Emmanuel Chapman allowed three runs, two of them earned, in the first two innings. Hartford added two runs against Jake Shirk in the third, though Shirk came back with two scoreless frames after that. Derek Berg went yard for the Curve in the loss.
The two teams play again tonight. Peyton Stumbo will start for Altoona.
