After Friday’s rainout, Altoona and Erie played a doubleheader on Saturday, with the SeaWolves winning the first game, 8-0 and the Curve taking the nightcap, 3-1.
The Curve only managed four baserunners in the first game, on two walks and two hits, both doubles by Callan Moss and Titus Dumitru.
In the second game, the Curve erased a 1-0 deficit with singles runs in the second, third, and sixth innings. Will Taylor bunted home Callan Moss in the second, Lonnie White Jr. scored from first base on a single by Moss in the third, and Taylor later scored the final run a ground-ball single by Javier Rivas. Altoona used a bullpen game, with Joshua Loeschorn throwing three innings, Derek Diamond two, and Jaden Woods and Mike Walsh the final two innings of the seven-inning game.
Matt Ager is scheduled to pitch the final game of the series today for the Curve.
