Blairsville Borough Police have charged an area man in connection with a stabbing on Monday.
Officers were sent out at 8:22 that night to a home in the 200 block of Morewood Avenue for an altercation. When they got there, they found the victim had a stab wound to his left arm along with a cut on his left hand. Polce determined that 26-year-old Blaze Alexander Mendicinio had stabbed the victim and charged him with aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment. He was arraigned in front of District Judge Anthony Sottile and is now in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing is set for June 4th.
