The Altoona Curve beat the Harrisburg Senators 8-3.
Home runs came from Javier Rivas, who hit is over the batter’s eye in center field in the 5th, and Lonnie White Jr. had a three-run shot in the sixth. White’s three-run homer was part of a six-run inning for the Curve where 11 batters were sent to the plate all with two outs. Connor Wietgrefe fanned five in five and two-thirds innings of work in his eighth start of the season. The lefty gave up three runs on eight hits and walked two.
The two teams play again tonight with Peyton Stumbo starting for Altoona.
