Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were busy this morning with a car crash and a dump truck that spilled its load.
The crash was reported by Indiana County 911 at 5:45 AM at 295 South Walnut Street in Blairsville Borough. Blairsville fire officials said that a car jumped the curb and went about 75 yards along the sidewalk, hitting several street signs and then a telephone pole. The pole needed replacement, but no injuries were reported.
The other incident was reported along Route 119 initially as a “traffic control call.” Blacklick fire officials said that a dump truck headed to the power plant had dumped its load in the area of Main and Creek streets in Blacklick Borough. As of 9:30, cleanup is still going on in the area. No injuries were reported.
