Shawn Ross blasted a sixth-inning grand slam as Altoona broke open its game with Chesapeake and went on to beat the Baysox, 9-3. Curve pitchers retired twenty consecutive batters from the second inning into the ninth, when Allesandro Ercolani gave up a one-out walk. Keiner Delgado had two hits for Altoona and Will Taylor reached base four times.
The Curve start a seven-game series against Harrisburg tomorrow.
