IUP BASEBALL
IUP Baseball has put five players on the All-PSAC team. Catcher Ricardo Aponte, second baseman Teague Hoover, shortstop David Kessler, and designated hitter Camden Rhude, all made first-team All-PSAC, and pitcher Derrick Shields made second-team.
IUP will enter the PSAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed in the West, taking on Shippensburg tomorrow night at Slippery Rock.
IUP SOFTBALL
IUP head coach Shawna Bellaud is the PSAC West softball Coach of the Year after guiding the Crimson Hawks to a 35-17 overall record 24-4 in the PSAC. Catcher Reagan Rand, second baseman Madison Pikula, shortstop Jess Cekada, and pitcher Taylor Baumgardner are on the All-PSAC first team. First baseman Emily Miller, outfielder Brianna Pusateri, and pitcher Kendall Young all made the second-team.
In the PSAC tournament in Binghampton, New York today, top Western seed IUP plays this afternoon against the winner of this morning’s game between Clarion and Shepherd.
