At their meeting Tuesday night, the Homer City Borough Council approved hiring a third-party company to assist with code enforcement work.
Council approved hiring PA Municipal Code Alliance for work pertaining to code enforcement in the borough. Borough Manager Tonya Weller says that with the police department working part-time and the summer weather moving in, they’ve seen an uptick in code violations. She says that this will help everyone in the borough.
Council also approved setting fees for right-to-know requests. Weller explains.
Council will meet again next month.
