Two nighttime road projects will be occurring in the Blairsville area this week.
PennDOT says work in Burrell Township will require closures on Route 22 for the Hoodlebug Trail Pedestrian Bridge project from Monday through Friday between 10 PM and 6 AM. Weather permitting, lane restrictions will be in effect on 22 between Resort Drive and the exit to Route 119 North and South for the removal of the overhang jacks on the bridge.
The $4.7 million project is estimated to be completed by mid-June.
Meanwhile, more nighttime patching and paving is planned this week in Blairsville between the Route 217 bridge at the Indiana/Westmoreland county line and the Route 22 interchange. That work is between 6 PM and 5 AM, weather permitting, weekdays through May 15th, with single-lane restrictions controlled by flaggers.
It’s part of a $3.1 million project that includes additional locations in Indiana County.
