A man who was reportedly involved in a shooting in Indiana Borough on March 21st is due in district court today for a preliminary hearing.
Court documents show 22-year-old Tymere Johnson of Clairton in Allegheny County is charged with prohibited possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, and receiving stolen property. Police in Indiana Borough said the shooting happened at the intersection of School Street and West Avenue. Five gunshots were fired into the air before the shooter got in a car and sped off. The car was pulled over minutes later on Route 119 and Johnson was taken into custody. Police said that a .40-caliber handgun found with Johnson was stolen.
He has been in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail since his arrest.
