State police are investigating after more than two dozen dogs were found abandoned at a junkyard in Greensburg this week.
Authorities say the owners of ABC Auto Wreckers called on Monday morning, reporting that someone had broken into the lot and left the animals there in cages. The dogs are all Belgian Malinois and Dutch shepherds that were previously housed at an unlicensed dog kennel, according to investigators. The pets are being taken care of at an Erie animal shelter.
State police have not named any suspected so far, but they do say charges will be filed soon.
