Three children can testify against Delmont mother Lauren Maloberti, charged in the 2023 death of her five-year-old adopted son when her trial begins May 4th.
Prosecutors allege she tortured, intentionally injured and failed to get her son timely medical attention. Her husband, who is alleged to have taken part in the abuse, is cooperating with prosecutors and will testify. The children are expected to describe ongoing physical and emotional abuse in the home.
Maloberti denies responsibility, suggesting the injuries may have resulted from an accident.
