Leaders with Allegheny Valley Schools are considering an all-day cell phone ban for students.
The school board is expected to vote on first reading of the proposal during a meeting at the Acmetonia Forum tomorrow evening. Students are not allowed to use phones in class right now, but they would also be barred from having them at lunch, study hall, and between classes under the new measure.
The new rule would have to approved at tomorrow’s meeting and pass a second vote in order to be adopted.
