The NHL released the full schedule for the Penguins’ first-round playoff series against the Flyers.
Faceoff for Game One will be at 8 o’clock tomorrow night at PPG Paints Arena. Airtime will be 7 o’clock on 92.5 FM U92. Game Two will be Monday at 7 before the series switches to Philadelphia for the third and fourth games, next Wednesday and Saturday. Game Five, if necessary, will be back in Pittsburgh on April 27th, with Game Six in Philly on the 29th, and back in Pittsburgh for Game Seven on May 2nd.
Forwards Connor Dewar and Blake Lizotte were full practice participants yesterday and both said they are ready to go in Game One tomorrow.
Coach Dan Muse says the Flyers will give the Penguins everything they want and more.
Muse says the Penguins’ Big Three – Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang – bring a wealth of talent, and important playoff experience to the series.
The coach says the entire organization is excited to be back in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
One personnel note from Thursday: the Penguins have placed defenseman Matt Dumba on unconditional waivers, setting the stage for his release. He has not played for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton since March 4th due to personal reasons.
