A strong performance by Connor Wietgrefe wasn’t enough as Altoona lost its sixth straight game to start the season. Wietgrefe gave up just one run in six innings but the Curve gave up two in the eighth to lose 3-2 at Richmond. Shawn Ross homered for the Curve and Omar Alfonzo had a run-scoring single.
