Not only was IUP’s Camden Rhude named the PSAC West Athlete of the Week in baseball for last week’s four-home run, ten-RBI performance in five games, the designated hitter was named yesterday the top hitter in Division II baseball by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Rhude had two games with a career-high four RBIs and had his first multi-home run game against Point Park last Wednesday. IUP hit 12 home runs over the five-game stretch, in which they split a pair of doubleheaders with Slippery Rock and lost to Point Park.
