Last night, the Center Township Supervisors heard concerns about fires and if a burn ban would go into effect.
As there have been a rash of brush fires in Indiana County, Samantha Pittman came forward and asked if supervisors were considering a burn ban. Supervisors Chairman Matt Housholder said that no burn bans are in place for now.
In other business, supervisors approved bids for stone, oil and blacktop. Both Latrobe Derry Stone and Davis Trucking won bids for stone, the oil bid went to Midland and asphalt went to Lindy Paving.
