It was a travel day yesterday for the Penguins, jetting from Carolina to Las Vegas, where they will play the Golden Knights tonight. The Pens beat Vegas 5-0 eleven days ago, and they continue to await the return of Sidney Crosby to the lineup, which appears to be imminent.
Crosby shed the white non-contact jersey and practiced in a regular jersey on Tuesday before the game against the Hurricanes, then he stayed on the ice for extra work with the suspended Evgeni Malkin and forward Kevin Hayes.
Coach Dan Muse said there was no change in Crosby’s status as far as game readiness, saying the Pens would continue to “take it a day at a time.”
Tonight’s game airs at 9 PM on 92.5 FM U92, with faceoff shortly after 10.
