IUP has a couple of PSAC athletes of the week this week. Senior pitcher Derrick Shields is the PSAC West Baseball Athlete of the Week after his six-inning one-hit shutout in a win over Salem.
IUP’s Lea von Kozierowski if the PSAC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for her three-hour, three-set 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 win over Findley’s Anamarija Kovacevic. She took the tiebreaker, 11-9.
