The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo reported yesterday that Steelers left tackle Broderick Jones has undergone fusion surgery in his neck, and could be out for a significant period of time. That type of surgery could be career-ending, but so far that’s not been mentioned. The typical recovery period is 3 to 6 months for normal life, longer for the stresses of an NFL life.
Jones was injured in Week 12 against the Bears, and DeRosa does not say when the surgery occurred.
