A Washington County student is facing charges for allegedly running a “sextortion” scheme.
Authorities allege that 18-year-old Zachariah Meyers, who is a senior at Peters Township High School, used social media to obtain indecent pictures and videos of other teens. He allegedly demanded cash from several of the teens with the promise of not sharing their photos and videos.
Meyers faces more than 300 felony charges, including trafficking in minors, sexual extortion, and unlawful contact with a minor.
