A fugitive wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service was arrested Wednesday morning after police say he attempted to break into a closed business in Lawrence Township.
According to WTAJ News, Clearfield Regional Police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Dustin Vernon Thomas of New York, who allegedly tried to flee when officers attempted to take him into custody along the Clearfield Shawville Highway. Authorities later learned Thomas was wanted on weapons-related charges and on an outstanding warrant from West Virginia.
Thomas was lodged in the Clearfield County Jail and charged with resisting arrest.
