Steelers coach Mike McCarthy continues to hire coaches that he worked with Green Bay. Today the Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac reports that IUP offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti Jr. will join McCarthy’s staff. He was the Packers’ quarterback coach in McCarthy’s last season in Green Bay, in 2018.
McCarthy had already announced that Tom Arth will return to the Steelers as quarterback coach. Both Arth and Cignetti worked with Aaron Rodgers with the Packers. Rodgers has not said whether he will play next season, or whether he will return to Pittsburgh.
