Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said Monday that Clarion County recorded the highest snowfall in the state from the weekend winter storm, with 23 inches reported in the New Bethlehem area, as heavy snow stretched from western to eastern Pennsylvania.
Speaking from a PennDOT facility in Bucks County, Shapiro said neighboring counties also saw totals near 22 inches, while the Lehigh Valley was hit hard with more than 14 inches in some areas and a daily record of 11.8 inches at Lehigh Valley International Airport.
The storm was blamed for three deaths in Lehigh County during snow removal efforts, and Shapiro urged residents to use caution as cleanup continues.
