Today is the first day of 2026, and as it is a national holiday, there are some closures in effect.
Federal, state and county government offices are closed for the day, including county courts, PennDOT Driver’s License and Photo Centers, and state liquor stores. Post offices are closed for the day as well, and there is no regular mail delivery. Priority Mail Express service will continue today. UPS and FedEx are also closed for the holiday.
Many banks are closed for the day as well, but they also offer services through apps, websites and ATM’s.
