A woman from the Pittsburgh area has been charged in connection with the death of a baby from methadone intoxication last year.
Prosecutors have filed multiple counts, including involuntary manslaughter, against 60-year-old Veronica Anglin. According to Allegheny County police, Anglin had been caring for the child at her Mount Oliver residence in November when she discovered the infant unresponsive after a nap.
Investigators say Anglin acknowledged having a methadone prescription and admitted she occasionally left the lockbox containing the medication unsecured.
