Paul Skenes was named the National League Pitcher of the Month for July.
His performance was on-point in July, allowing only two earned runs in the month, both in the July 11th game against Minnesota. Otherwise, it was a shutout month for the star starter. He boasted a 0.67 ERA and struck out 36 batters while walking three in 27 innings of work.
His best performance of the month was his last one, when he went six innings vs. the D-backs, scattered three hits and struck out nine.
