Another active day is expected for Indiana County’s district courts with preliminary hearings scheduled.
Two of those hearings are for an Indiana man who is charged with stalking, simple assault and other crimes for an incident last month in Blairsville. Local police had arrested 30-year-old Richard Torres Santiago on May 27th. Officers say that two victims, an Indiana woman and a Blairsville woman, had parked along North Spring Street in Blairsville when he pulled in front of them and blocked their way out. He then got out of the car and started to yell at the Indiana woman through the closed window.
The second case is for a similar incident that happened the week before. Today’s hearing will be before District Judge Robert Bell, Sr.
